This blog will be a way to share resources with thousands of students who are aspiring to become veterinarians — especially as many of you may have noticed the lack of accessible guidance and support in this field, even as veterinary medicine continues to grow in popularity. It will also be a space for me to document my own journey: the successes, the challenges, and the experiences I’m gaining as a sixth form student stepping into the world of animal care.
Here, you’ll find a mix of study tips, veterinary related news, reflections from my journey, and advice on different areas of veterinary medicine — including work experience and early exposure to the profession — as I work toward a future in this field.
My hope is that this becomes a place for curiosity, growth, and encouragement. So whether you’re an aspiring vet or simply someone who finds the thought of dissecting a lamb heart and learning hands‑on animal care exciting, then this might just be the place for you , especially as the journey for Year 10 and 11's begins and they make the choice of A levels.
